"When I look throughout the course of my life, there are many times I didn't feel like I had a voice. Times I didn't feel like my voice mattered or that anyone cared to listen, and feeling like you don't have a voice can lead you to a dark place. Some of you reading this may know exactly what I mean. But, the good news is I heard the Good News and I no longer had to believe the lie I didn't have a voice or that my voice didn't matter. At 22 years old, I made a promise to God I would speak up for those who can't speak for themselves. A year later I read Proverbs 31:8, "speak up for those who can't speak for themselves", furthermore confirming my calling to speak up and share the Good News."
