For nearly a decade, Marcellus Coleman has dedicated his life to connecting creatives and serving the local church through worship. Here's part of his story:
"The song “Sound Mind” came to me during a moment of worship at my church. It started as a simple anthemic recitation of 2 Timothy 1:7 “God’s not given fear/but He’s given love/and He’s given power/and I have a sound mind.”I started getting testimonies and requests from people to sing it with a recurring theme of praying against nightmares.
One testimony that really fueled me to seek out how to finish the song was a pastor’s wife having a severely unsettling dream and waking up to the lyrics of my song. It was then that I believed that the song had an assignment. God really did give us peace, He really doesn’t give us fear, and through Him we have self control.
My prayer is that you will experience and have a fresh revelation of His peace and confidence."
